Overall Summary

We are looking for an exceptional Account Manager to join the EMEA TraditionData team. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping us exceed the high levels of customer service excellence, for which we are recognised across the industry.

The EMEA Sales Team has offices in both London and Madrid, and we are flexible regarding which office you would prefer to be based in.

Responsibilities

  • The primary objective of this role is to grow and protect our existing customer base.
  • You will be responsible for the daily management of a number of accounts, as defined by the Head of Sales EMEA. This will include, but is not limited to, Global Banks, Exchanges, Asset Managers and Hedge Funds.
  • Develop a strategic approach to each customer segment and identify opportunities to upsell existing and new products to your accounts.
  • You will have an in-depth understanding of all products, supplementing this knowledge with new products as and when they are brought to market.
  • Build and maintain deep relationships with all contacts for each account. You must also foster further relationships within each account to increase usage of our products.
  • Ensure that each customer is receiving maximum value from each data purchase.
  • Ensure the post-sale onboarding process run smoothly, and identify ways to improve it for future accounts.
  • Secure annual contract renewals for all accounts by ensuring our products are embedded within their organisation.
  • Collaborate with account managers across the three regions (Americas, APAC & EMEA) to enhance the collective knowledge of the account management team.
  • Provide regular reporting to the Regional Head of Sales and wider sales team regarding product usage and opportunities. This must be in a standardised report that is frequently updated. This report will focus on ensuring the strategic needs of both the customer and TraditionData are being met.
  • Work with marketing to ensure all customers are kept updated with regards to any product changes or launches.
  • Maintain all contacts within Salesforce and assist with enhancement & development ideas.
  • Work with sales and marketing to complete required sales campaigns, such as new products or packages.
  • Ensure that all Governance and Compliance requirements are adhered to with respect to the relevant Regulatory Bodies.

  • You have proven account management experience within financial markets.
  • You have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • You will have a deep understanding of the market data industry (or be prepared to educate yourself to obtain the appropriate levels of knowledge).
  • You are familiar with the functional use of market data, including its relevance across front, middle and back offices.
  • You are a team player, with the ability to build and leverage relationships at all levels within an organisation.
  • You can manage and prioritise a heavy workload to meet deadlines and operate efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are self-sufficient, proactive and a quick learner who demonstrates initiative.
