End of Day (EOD) broker prices are based on expert assessment of daily activity in covered markets. Displayed prices do not represent currently actionable orders. Curve coverage is dependent on market activity, and levels of granularity may fluctuate based on changes in liquidity. EOD broker curves typically span 1-3 front months, 1-3 quarters, 1-5 seasonal strips, and 1-4 calendar years for European Gas and 1-3 front months, 3-17 seasonal strips, and 2-10 calendar years for US Gas.

EEX's European Gas Spot Index (EGSI) is a major pricing benchmark for natural gas in Europe, calculated as follows: The EGSI is determined as a volume-weighted average price, based on all Day-Ahead transactions executed on EEX's natural gas spot markets across Europe between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm Central European Time. It is the volume-weighted average price of all trades in the respective EEX Natural Gas Day and Weekend Spot Contracts executed during this period on the trading day before delivery. The EGSI methodology takes into account the high liquidity of EEX's spot gas markets to provide a transparent and reliable natural gas price reference for major European market areas like: PEG (France) ZTP (Belgium) ETF (Netherlands) CZ VTP (Czech Republic) PVB (Austria)

What is Natural gas ?	Natural gas is a fossil fuel that is colorless, shapeless, and odorless in its pure form. It is a mixture of hydrocarbon gases formed primarily of methane, but it can also include ethane, propane, butane, and pentane. Natural gas is combustible, clean-burning, and gives off a great deal of energy. Around 500 BC, the Chinese discovered that the energy in natural gas could be harnessed. They passed it through crude bamboo-shoot pipes and then burned it to boil sea water to create potable fresh water.
