The role

Tradition is looking for a skilled Market Data Support Analyst to join our team in New York. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining the efficiency of our market data operations and supporting the growth of our global financial market initiatives. Working alongside our global data teams in London, New York, Singapore, and Tokyo, you will play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to excellence and ensuring client satisfaction in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

TraditionData is a division of Tradition that provides consistent, high-quality financial market data that reflects real price interest in global OTC swaps markets, covering Interest Rate Derivatives, Energy & Commodities, Credit & Fixed Income and FX & Money Markets.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide support for market data infrastructure and customers, ensuring the efficient delivery of data to and from major vendors.
  • Customer Service: Deliver high-quality customer service, ensuring that reported issues are addressed promptly and professionally.
  • Incident Management: Manage and prioritize busy incident management and request queues, collaborating with global teams to ensure timely resolution.
  • Data Management: Perform data entry for customer data onboarding and classification of financial instruments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with predefined criteria.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot data systems, utilizing Linux & Windows skills to interrogate log files and collaborate with network and infrastructure teams to diagnose and resolve production issues.
  • Reporting: Generate weekly incident and request reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.

Skills & Experience

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a strong understanding of financial markets and market data.
  • You have 2 years+ of experience in supporting market data infrastructure.
  • You possess excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • You have customer service expertise to deliver professional and efficient support, along with strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with both internal teams and clients.
  • You have experience with electronic trading platforms in Fixed Income or Foreign Exchange.
  • You have SQL skills to query databases for the retrieval of large historical datasets.
  • You have scripting skills to automate like Python, Shell scripts, and PowerShell.
  • You are familiar with time series databases like OneTick or KDB, and monitoring systems, like ITRS.

Hours & Location

  • This position entails working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch each day.
  • Occasional out-of-hours and/or on weekend work will be required.
  • Based out of our New York office
  • Work with global teams daily for support handover during early morning/evening
  • Participation in change management and testing on weekends/evenings when required
