The role

The role requires an individual to structure a defined approach to finding new potential clients. As part of this process, the individual is required to work with the relevant sales member to properly qualify, arrange client meetings, create opportunities in order to close and grow revenue. In this role, you should have great communication skills and be able to question clients to understand each requirement/use case and be able to demonstrate why TraditionData can help clients meet a range of business needs today, be it from regulatory, trading, risk or valuation purposes.

TraditionData is a division of Tradition that provides consistent, high-quality financial market data that reflects real price interest in global OTC swaps markets, covering Interest Rate Derivatives, Energy & Commodities, Credit & Fixed Income and FX & Money Markets.

Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and one of the world’s largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. Represented in over 28 countries, Compagnie Financière Tradition is listed on the Swiss stock exchange. The market data team is a fast growing part of the organization supplying real-time, delayed, snapshot and historical data across the full suite of traded instruments from the broking floor. We are looking for motivated individuals to join this fast expanding team.

Responsibilities

  • Prospecting, generating, qualifying, processing and following up on leads and appointment setting for external sales team
  • Collaboratively work with the Sales team to develop lead generation strategies to generate lead opportunities with prospective customers
  • Initiates and participates in new business pitches with Sales team and subject matter experts and own follow-through with the lead prospect
  • Providing consistent, concise, accurate internal and external communications, and developing & maintaining strong relationships
  • Effectively communicate and present the TraditionData value proposition to customers
  • Achieving sales lead gen and appointment quotas
  • Help support and execute sales campaigns within the territory as directed by management or New Business Development Managers
  • Manage all stages of the new business sales process within Salesforce.com
  • Contribute to the collective knowledge of the sales team globally

Skills & Experience

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with a strong understanding of financial markets and market data.
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills: Ability to engage with clients effectively, ask the right questions, and clearly convey the value proposition of TraditionData.
  • Sales & lead generation experience: Prior experience in prospecting, qualifying leads, and setting appointments for a sales team.
  • Organizational & time management skills: Ability to manage multiple prospects, keep track of sales activities, and ensure timely follow-ups.
  • Self-motivated & proactive: A self-starter who can take initiative, think creatively, and persistently pursue potential customers.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment: Comfortable collaborating with sales and management teams to refine lead generation strategies.

Target & Measurement

  • Aim to generate between 10-15 qualified leads per month, measured by Salesforce activity reports
  • Minimum of 25 new business calls per day & 5 meetings per week, measured by Salesforce activity reports
  • Create planned target lists in line with either campaigns and/or direction from new business sales person for alignment
  • Ensure all activities are logged in Salesforce and any opportunities created and kept up to date for reporting purposes

Hours & Location

  • This position entails working Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an hour for lunch each day.
  • Occasional out-of-hours and/or on weekend work will be required.
